This frame came to us in a very good condition however the pain and decals needed to be redone. <br> The branding of Santini was not clear if it was original or not and I really struggled to find information about this bike. <br> A customer approached me to do this bike for them and with a new paint job in blue, brown leather seats and handlebars and new 105 groupset it is a real pleasure on the eyes.
The Hercules Cycle and Motor Company Limited was a British bicycle manufacturer founded on 9 September 1910 in Aston in England in a house rented by brothers.<br><br> By 1923 they moved for the 3rd time into an ex-Dunlop factory in Rocky Lane, Aston which grew to be a factory and space of 13 acres (53,000 m squared). By 1939 the company had produced 6 million bicycles and had increased the level of production for export to 40%. After this time Hercules were also making the majority of their components other than the inner tubes and tyres.<br><br> In 1953 Hercules became one of the first British companies to have a professional cycling team racing on the continent.<br><br> In 1946 the brothers sold the company to Tube Investments for three and a quarter million pounds and it was later incorporated in the British Cycling Corporation.>
