ULTRA COMPETITION by SPONSER® is a highly complex nutrient solution, specially developed for the demands of ultra- and long-distance running. Waxy maize starch and gluten-free starch hydrolysates from waxy maize and rice provide sustained energy and a low glycemic index.
Waxy maize starch is a branched-chain glucose molecule with a very large molecular size. Unlike simple or double sugars, waxy maize starch consists of up to 1000 or more molecules in a branched form. While this long-chain and relatively complex structure is quickly emptied from the stomach, it is only slowly broken down into glucose by enzymes. Therefore, the insulin spike from a beverage consisting primarily of waxy maize starch is significantly lower than from commercially available carbohydrate mixes. Gluten-free, lactose-free, isomaltulose-free, and free of free fructose. Nutrients that are often poorly tolerated during ultra-exercise activities under stressful conditions and therefore limit performance.

Application
Especially suitable for endurance activities lasting 8-12 hours or more. Recommended as a sports drink at a dosage of 60-100 g/liter.
When used as an aqueous gel, dissolve up to 60 g per 300 ml of water, depending on energy requirements, and drink in sips every 10-15 minutes. Drink additional water if you feel thirsty. Ultra Competition contains added syrup.
